A day in the life of a Dublin Personal Injury Solicitor
No day is the same in the life of a Dublin Personal Injury Solicitor!
I will take yesterday as an example. I arrived in the office early at 7.30 am. This time is used to answer all emails from the night before and plan the day ahead before the madness starts at 9.00 am.
https://dublinpersonalinjurysolicitor.com I had a meeting at 9 am with a new client. Lets call her Jane for the purpose of this blog. Jane had got in touch the night before via the website. She filled out a contact form, and I called Jane right away, and a meeting was arranged promptly for 9 am. Jane had an accident at work and needed a solicitor who specialises in work accident cases. She slipped and fell over some in the workplace as a result of a slippery floor surface. Jane wishes to bring a case for personal injury as a result of the negligence of her employer. The accident took place 2 months ago and Jane has only just got back on her feet.
Jane had never used a Personal Injury Solicitor before. We were there to answer all of her questions and to put her mind at ease. We formulated a case plan. Jane was quite pleased.
A quick cup of coffee at 10.30 was needed. At 11.00 I spent one hour with one of the Solicitor in the office to discuss a case that is almost ready for Trial. We have just issued and served and Notice of Trial, and the next stage is to serve all reports with the other side in accordance with S.I 391/1998. We went through all reports to ensure they were accurate. We also had a general review of the case. We feel that the other side will soon make approaches to settle this case. But at the same time we must be ready for Trial.
I had to be at the Courts for 1.00pm. We had a settlement meeting on a circuit court personal injury case. This was an accident at work case involving a client who broke his arm as a result of a college dropping a large television on his arm. The case was relatively straightforward and settlement was reached after 40 minutes of negotiations. As personal injury solicitors, settling cases is the best part of the job by far.
I was back in the office by 2.30 pm. I had several telephone calls to make with various opposing solicitors and insurance companies. All run of the mill, everyday chores that are required to keep our cases moving along.
This took me through to 5.00 pm and the end of a good day at the office.
